Bio
Born Shaun Wisenburg AKA DRU in St Petersburg, Florida. DRU was born almost instantly into a musically inclined family where his mother started at a very young age at music where she had been singing to friends, family and mostly to her self from being shy throughout the years. His father was a well respected Rock n Roll DJ spinning on the AM and then later FM band as the famous "Rockin Rod" around the Florida area in the 70's and early 80's. When DRU was born in January of 1985, his father sought to bring him into the music realm by playing constant records, 45's and 8 track tapes while he was still in the womb and later found that when he would cry all he had to do was play those records in the crib and the young DRU would stay asleep until the records stopped spinning. The game changing moment in Dru's life was the moment in 1991 with his father at a record store in St Pete when 2 pac's "Brenda's Got a Baby" started playing on the over head radio and his father noticed there was an almost instant connection in which "2Pacalypse Now" became Dru's first rap album and started his young love for deep hip hop music.

As DRU began playing for talent shows and rapping to his self while walking from school. This quickly turned into wiring up 4 track and 8 track recorders to recording friends and technically mixing different rythms with songs. While Dru's dad had noticed this talent was growing took out a loan and showed up home in the summer of 1996 with the first ever GrooveBox - "Roland MC-303". The Roland MC-303 is the first instrument known as a Groovebox. It combines a simple sound module with an 8 Track sequencer to record and store notation, along with controls aimed at encouraging the musician to improvise the music while it is playing. While this piece of equipment is known to have started DRU's creation into the realm of composing tracks, nothing would be where it is today without the inspiration and continuing push of his late father Rodney Wisenburg. In the beginning of 2004 DRU, Dru's mother Peggy and his father Rod sought out to find a music school to enhance his skills and to build his determination as a Producer/Artist/Song Writer. After finding the small music school Pro Point, it was after meeting with the famous Engineer/Instructor "Roger Lopez" who quickly determined "DRU has talents that are hidden in a deep respected chamber" that must be crafted to perfection. After hearing DRU's first few studio releases and first production scaled beats, Dru's father passed away from a heart attack in the early morning hours of 2006.

After the passing of Dru's father his mother than went into a coma 30 days later and died several times in the hospital while Dru begged for the staff of doctors and God to save what all he had left. 3 months later his prayers were answered and his mother regained consciousness and made a full recovery.  exactly a year later Dru's lady conceived on fathers day, a day which he would hold tightly onto and that would forever change his life. Between 2006 - 2011 DRU left his music behind for a chance at school and building his life on what he thought that music could not provide. But on new years eve of 2011/2012 a friend of DRU named "Gregory Whitaker" which had taken notice to some late recordings at Dru's house, and in returned begged and asked to return to music for a chance to give people something they so desperately need. That would be the last time that DRU thought about leaving music and in return has been steadily recording, mixing, and mastering his self as well as local artists throughout Florida to building his record label "Dark Shadow Records" and to help promote others who would not otherwise have the opportunity. While recently been sought by the likes of Universal, Epic, Motown & UAA, DRU has made a promise to his fans to bring nothing but good music and will work hard until the day he takes his last breathe......
